Volunteers are needed all days of the week at the Visitors Information Center, 1162 Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs.    We'll accept volunteers at any business hour, but our most pressing need is 10am to 2pm daily.    Please review the information below and consider volunteering with us.  Use the form to the right to communicate what you would like to do.  Thanks so much!


Volunteers at the Visitors Center are trained to:

  • Welcome visitors to our community
  • Provide "step-on" bus tours
  • Explain the history of the Florida Chautauqua campus/resort grounds and the famous people who lectured here
  • Direct visitors to shopping, dining and lodging opportunities which DeFuniak Springs has to offer.
  • Inform visitors about upcoming events


Other Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Distribute Visitor Guides throughout Walton County
  • Provide photography and videography services for this website and the Visitors Guide
  • Help coordinate special events
  • Develop marketing strategies for the Visitors Bureau
  • Host an information booth at events on behalf of the Visitors Bureau
  • Recruit new businesses to become a member of the Visitors Bureau
