    • Halloween Happenings, Baldwin Avenue (Historic Downtown Business District), 5pm-7pm.  Bring your little trick-or-treaters for some treats from businesses and organizations along Baldwin Avenue.  Costume contest and lots of fun for the entire family.  Sponsored by the DeFuniak Springs  Business and Professional Association.  Contact Walton County Commissioner Sara Comander at comsara@walton.co.fl.us or (850) 835-4834.  Free.
    • Trick-Or-Treating Around the Lake, Circle Drive, 5pm-7:30pm.   Several beautifully decorated Victorian era homes on Circle Drive are sponsored by area businesses and organizations with loads of candy for trick-or-treaters at the end of their sidewalks or on their front porch.  As many as 1,500 little ghosts and goblins visit the front yards of many homes for some irresistible treats.  Sponsored by the DeFuniak Springs Woman's Club.  Contact Carol Doxey (850) 830-1026 or Paulette Morrison (850) 585-8778.   Free.

  • 23:  Festival of Trees,400 East Nelson Avenue,5pm-9pm:   Enjoy a stroll through the new Hotel DeFuniak and marvel at the beautifully decorated trees  provided by local nonprofit and government organizations.  Light refreshments available to compliment your visit.  No admission fee but donations accepted to fund the restoration and rehabilitation of the historic Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood.  Sponsored by the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood Foundation.  (850) 892-7625.

    • Hometown Christmas, Walton County Fairgrounds, 790 North 9th Street, 8am-4pm.  Enjoy a day of family fun and holiday cheer featuring arts and crafts for sale, food vendors, drawings, Santa House, and kids' activities.  Register to win prizes.  Sponsored by the DeFuniak Springs Business and Professional Association.
