What to See:

  • More than 6 million lights displayed around a perfectly round, spring-fed lake on the grounds of a campus built during the Victorian era for the Florida Chautauqua Assemblies (1885-1927). 
  • Drive through the grounds or walk. 
  • Carriage rides available.
  • Complimentary bus tours available with 1-day advance notice (850) 333-2241.


Hours:

  • Nightly, 5pm to 9pm, the day after Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve.


Admission/Prices:

  • $3/person.  Children 6 & under free.    Drive or walk around the grounds as many times as you wish. 
  • Season Passes available for $35 at the gate or during the day at the DeFuniak Springs Visitors Center, 1162 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida  32435.  Call first for availability (850) 333-2241.
  • Carriage Rides:    $10/person after purchase of an admission ticket.   Cash only.  High Horse Farms, LLC provides the carriage rides and offers two options.  
    • Public rides. These carriages are 1st come 1st serve and it will be $10 per person/kids 3 and under free.
    • Private carriage rides on Friday and Saturday nights. This carriage will accommodate 4 people cost $60. Call High Horse Farms, LLC at 850-978-2999 and make reservations for the private carriage and you'll have no waiting in line. These costs are in addition to the $3 admission to Christmas Reflections.


Complimentary step-On bus Tours FOR THOSE ARRIVING IN BUSES AND VANS (850-333-2241):

  • For bus/large groups of 10 or more.
  •  Call the DeFuniak Springs Visitors Bureau at (850) 333-2241 for complimentary tour of the grounds a day in advance of your planned visit with us.   Otherwise, you can still call the day of your planned visit to see if a tour is available.
  • Guide will board your bus/van and explain the history of the grounds while you marvel at the beautiful lights adorning the historic buildings, homes and landscape once marketed as "The Education Resort of the South." 
  • Learn about the famous people who lectured here and the impact of these grounds on American culture.

From I-10: 

  • Take I-10 (East from Pensacola, West from Tallahassee) to Exit 85,
  • At end of ramp, head North on US Highway 331.
  • Pass Lowe's (on your right), Walmart (on your left) until you reach the intersection of Live Oak and 331.
  • Right onto Live Oak.
  • Drive several blocks until you reach the gate at the charming library.

From South Walton County:

  • Take Highway 98 (East from Destin, West from Panama City Beach) to US Highway 331 North.
  • Go 20 miles to DeFuniak Springs.
  • Pass Lowe's (on your right), Walmart (on your left) until you reach the intersection of Live Oak and 331.
  • Right onto Live Oak.
  • Drive several blocks until you reach the gate at the charming library.
